Originally designed for TRUNK Hotel Yoyogi Park in Japan and later refined for Vinhuset, the N-DC07 | Dining Chair embodies a careful balance between comfort and architectural clarity. Its form is defined by a continuous, softly curved silhouette that wraps around the body, creating an immediate sense of ease.The chair rests on a hollow, cylindrical base that grounds the design and suspends the seat above the floor. Integrated armrests emerge gently from the form itself, offering natural support while also making the chair easy to reposition. Fully upholstered, the surface reads as calm and tactile, inviting moments of rest and unhurried conversation.

Set within the gentle contours of the Swedish landscape, Vinhuset marks the next chapter in our ongoing collaboration with Ästad Vingård – an estate where nature, craft, and hospitality intertwine. This new project extends the dialogue between architecture and terrain, deepening the sensorial experience that has come to define the vineyard’s growing constellation of spaces.
Following in the spirit of CASE 06, this project—a collaboration between Ästad Vingård and Norm Architects—features nine new bespoke pieces specifically designed by Norm Architects for this space. These custom additions, which include a dining chair, dining table, lounge chair, and side table, are furnished alongside existing pieces from the Karimoku Case collection.

Norm Architects
Norm Architects was founded in 2008. The multidisciplinary design studio works within the fields of industrial design, residential architecture, commercial interiors, photography and art direction. Much like human well-being, the essence of Norm Architects’ work is found in balance — between richness and restraint, order and complexity.
Each project — whether in architecture, interiors, design or creative direction — is imbued with the same intrinsic quality: a simplicity that carries bigger ideas. Guided by the body and mind rather than by trends or technology, their projects explore ideas that not only look good, but feel good too: Architecture be- comes thoughtful, minimalism acquires softness and visual matter assumes haptic qualities.
